At this year’s International Conference on Inclusive Insurance, the Global Shield will host the session “Pathfinder countries leading the way: First-hand experiences and perspectives on implementing the Global Shield against Climate Risks”.

The session provides an insight into first-hand experiences on implementing the Global Shield In-Country Process in Ghana with perspectives from different stakeholders involved. In addition, other actors like the Microinsurance Network share their lessons learned from inclusive stakeholder processes. The session discusses the political stand of the Global Shield in the context of Loss and Damage as well as insights into how the Global Shield can harmonise existing initiatives and address protection gaps. Participants will learn how stakeholders can benefit from engaging in the In-Country Process and how an inclusive, data-driven process can increase efficiency of CDRFI implementation.

The session will take place on 25 October 2023, 16:00-17:30 (GMT). For more information on how to participate, please visit the event organiser’s website.
